Riding high on the success of his BBE album ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’, Kiko Navarro unveils a collection of original, extended versions, alternate takes and brand new remixes from the project.
Featured by both DJ Mag Spain and Traxsource as top ten ‘Albums Of The Year‘ in 2017, ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’ enjoyed success, both within the dance music community and far beyond, thanks to its bold eclecticism and a series of top- notch vocal / instrumental performances. Four tracks from the album were also recently released on 12” vinyl via Chez Damier’s legendary ‘Balance’ imprint.
Having recently completed a world tour in support of the album, Kiko Navarro revisits ‘Everything Happens For A Reason’, salvaging only the finest remnants from the cutting room floor. Many of the album’s tracks were originally around ten minutes in length before being edited to fit on the CD, so Kiko has included many full-length versions here, alongside instrumentals, acid interpretations and even a rave mix, sure to delight DJs and dance- floors alike.
Among the brand new material featured is Sobek’s incredible remix of ‘Ohashia’, a track which has been in high demand since it was premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 ‘Sound Of Ibiza Tag Team Mix’ by Adam Port last year. Greek producer Echonomist delivers a spine tingling, bass driven version of ‘Painful Goodbye’. There are three new mixes of ‘Humanity’, plus a low-down and deep, disco infused rework from Kiko’s Spanish compatriot Simon Garcia. Fresh from their sublime re-imagining of Ron Trent & Lono Brazil’s ‘Manchild (In The Promised Land)’ for BBE, Japanese husband and wife duo Dazzle Drums turn in a potent version of ‘La Cosa’, complete with a devastating dub mix. Emotionally charged tribute piece featuring fellow BBE artist Gabriele Poso, ’Painful Goodbye’ is transformed into a tear-jerking reprise, fittingly titled ‘Hasta Siempre’ (until the end of time).
With his new ‘Afroterraneo’ imprint just launched, new productions, remixes and gigs are popping up all over the planet for Kiko Navarro: now is surely a good time to take a longer look at the album that helped re-energise his artistic life.

My god, what an absolutely incredible Suite. I'll admit, I've struggled to get into Pharoah Sanders due to diving headfirst into some of his most challenging catalogue and that never worked. This is the perfect place to restart. Floating Points is new for me and I can honestly say I've never heard synthesizer music this lush and organic before. the LSO is just perfect. This is one of those albums that any serious music fan needs in their life. The perfect swan song for the great Pharaoh! 5/5 ClassyMusicSnob
